What We Do
There are many ways the VGP helps our veterans.
The VGP brings together disabled vets from all branches of military service.

-
Golf is the activity, but providing opportunities to fellowship with fellow vets is the aim. If you don't have golf equipment, we'll make every effort to help you out so you can participate.
-
In the course of meeting each week in Sacramento, Fresno & San Diego areas, we learn of very personal needs our vets and/or family may be struggling with.
-
After identifying a vet with an unmet need we attempt to meet the need.
-
The VGP has provided food for vets who could not afford it. We’ve provided transportation for vets to help them get to work. And we support the myriad of ways our vets can rise up and be self-sufficient.
-
The VGP collaborates with numerous veterans support groups.

Out of the Darkness and Into the Light
Sadly, each day 22 to 25 veterans commit suicide.
Since 2012, when the Veterans’ Golf Program was formed, we’ve NEVER lost a vet to suicide.
By using the game of golf, we help our disabled vets cope with the everyday stresses they deal with. The Veterans’ Golf Program has a proven history of success. The use of Therapeutic Recreation provides a safe, friendly environment for our vets.
